Howler's Coyote Cafe, presented by RF Entertainment, is located in the Little Italy' section of Pittsburgh, PA, and is quickly becoming one of the area's hot spots for live music. With a capacity of 150-200, this two-room venue has been in operation for over 10 years and caters mainly to Rock, Acoustic and Country acts. Mostly booking shows on weekends, Howler's also offers its stage on weeknights for touring bands that are between gigs.

Shows are usually booked around two months in advance, however, when artists are local, bookings may occur sooner. As with most clubs in the Pittsburgh area, there isn't a large built-in' crowd. Therefore, it's up to the artists, both local and touring, to promote their own shows. Posters, flyers, and demo CDs should be mailed to RF Entertainment for placement in the venue, local businesses and neighborhood bulletin boards. If selected, artists will be provided with a list of local media resources (news publications, radio stations, etc.) where they can promote the show. Local bands will pre-sell tickets for the shows while touring bands will split 90% of all door money from walk-up business, and keep 100% of any merchandise sales. Bands will also receive discounted food and drinks.

Typical set length ranges anywhere from 30-90 minutes, depending on the number of acts booked that night. In most cases, artists are responsible for all backline equipment, but there is a modest PA with 12 channels, two main speakers and two monitors. Upgrades are in the works.

Proud supporters of all genres of music, the Lewisham Livehouse has a 200+ capacity room boasting a great stage, with sound & lighting installed. There are two glass top merchandise tables in the room to sell all your CDs etc.

They try to book 4-5 acts per night and work hard to match the acts with genre in mind.

Door staff, Sound engineer & PA are all supplied by the promoter. The wages for both door & sound staff are taken out of the door take before acts are paid. They are working for the bands on the night, so naturally their pay must come out before anyone else is paid. The Lewisham Livehouse pays their staff well and they run the gig in a professional manner.

Production costs are split evenly between the acts playing that night. The rest is paid to the acts according to how many people came and paid to see them.

Dave's Aqua Lounge, voted one of Tampa Bay Florida's top live music venues, is actively seeking musicians and performance artists for immediate openings. Daves book live music seven nights a week.

There are 40-50 slots available each month with 4-5 reserved for Sonicbids artists. Set lengths will be 30-60 minutes. A local draw is not necessary to be booked, but is preferable.

Selected artists will be compensated with $200 or 50% of the door, whichever is greater.

Dave's Aqua Lounge will contact artists for booking at least two months prior to the date of the show. They provide a sound system and soundman for all national acts, and they have a house PA and monitors for regional and local bands but you must bring vocal mics and cables. They also have a house drum kit. Dave's will give you contact information of bands playing with you if you'd like to try to arrange sharing gear and working together to promote the show. We do require at least six 11x17 poster for in-house promotion.

The Inn at Lathones has recently been awarded the UK's 'Music Pub of the Year Award' for the whole of the UK.

It only holds 50 people but has had some of the world's great artists come and play. Mundell Music have been in existence for over 12 years now. Artists are being booked about three months in advance. The venue is a high quality outlet with superb accommodation and food. They take most genres, Americana, rock, blues, singer/songwriter, country, etc.

They offer a 70/30 split with the door (70% for the Artist). Selected artists get two 45 minute sets. They provide a vocal PA but do not supply backline.

Selected artists will be provided with light beverages, food, a place to change clothes and free parking. Artists will be asked for a fee of $50.00 for a DVD copy of program or $20.00 if a VHS blank is provided. Copies will be mailed two weeks after show taping.

The Blue Light Sessions in-studio concert series is host to some of the best regional talent and was designed to provide a way for artists to record a live concert CD and DVD for free. The sessions are set in the stylish live room of Blue Light Digital Sound recording studio located in a historic building in Mt. Holly, NJ.

The artist's 45-minute set is recorded live into Pro Tools and filmed with an HD camera in front of an intimate audience of 25 fans. After the performance, the audio is mixed and mastered then duplicated onto custom printed CDs. Each performer receives 1 DVD and 26 copies of the CD, one for each of the audience members. The artist will also select 3 of their favorite songs from the DVD to be uploaded to Blue Light Sessions' You Tube channel and for use on their website.

Additionally, artist performances are considered for inclusion in the Blue Light Session TV show which airs in Princeton NJ, as well as being featured on the studio website.

Artists can apply online at Sonicbids to be considered for the concert series. There are 4 slots reserved for Sonicbids members each month. Selected artists are required to make a $50 deposit, which is refunded once the band has sold 25 tickets to the session. Ticket sales help cover the costs of recording, filming, mixing and duplicating. Blue Light will provide a custom-made web banner and HTML codes for each artist to direct fans to purchase tickets through TicketLeap.com. Jitters Coffeehouse in Southington, CT is a great, intimate performing environment for performing artists. Jitters offers original live music, comedy, drumming, and other entertainment on a weekly basis. Gourmet coffee, hot cocoa, espresso, tea's, juices, soda, non-alcoholic beers and wines as well as light foods, soup, pizza slices, ice cream and fabulous desserts.

Jitters is looking for artists who are interested in small, intimate performances. This is a great opportunity to really connect with fans and audience members. If it's acoustic, then it's for Jitters. Jitters has a capacity of just fewer than 100 people. They provide a basic PA system but no back line. Artists that require drum sets are not encouraged to submit unless they can use minimal percussion equipment, as the stage area is very small and Jitters doesn't like loud.

Live music is on Friday and Saturday nights, with drum circles occasionally on Thursdays. Comedy acts are featured on the third Friday of every month. Compensation is usually in the form of donations, but any extra will be negotiated at the time of booking. Jitter's usually has a flow of regulars, but a local draw is a plus in the selection process.

The Maximum Threshold Radio Show is a hard rock/metal radio show dedicated to promoting unsigned and signed bands. MTRS also provides interviews with successful musicians in all phases of their careers. On any given show you can tune in and hear an interview with rockstars, actors, comedians, and hear some of the worlds greatest bands that are unheard of or are mainstream metal. The show will only play mainstream music if they have a guest on the show coming on in the near future who performs in the band.

MTRS also provides up to date music news in the program. The music news is not just a few stories, it is also not unfamiliar to provide 45min -1 hour of music news. The show also brings a form of comedy to the airwaves and can really be hilarious at times. Step 1: Submit Your Work
The MDR Indie Spotlight is a chance for artists to submit a sample of their work to be reviewed by MDR's music staff. Submissions will be evaluated based on musicality, artistry, style and creativity. MDR will be taking new submissions each month for a limited time. We ask that you only submit to this opportunity if you're an independent band or artist. This means if you're signed to a major label, you don't qualify for this opportunity, although bands on indie labels are more than welcome to submit.

Step 2: MDR Staff Music Reviews
Each submission will be carefully reviewed by their music staff. All applicants will receive honest feedback, advice and suggestions regarding their music, performance and industry potential.

Step 3: Finalists Selected
Three finalists will be selected to perform live in the MDR studios as a chance to fully impress upon us their strengths, capacities and concepts. All participating bands will receive a mix of their in-studio performance that day.

Step 4: Best Performing Band Selected
The best performing band will be awarded 6 hours of free studio time with Engineer/Producer Mike Davidson.

Additional Information: If you'd like to extend your session beyond the 6 hours or schedule more time on another day, they will be more than happy to accommodate you at normal studio rates. All bands will own any recordings, files and copyrights made at MDR. London-based Sidewalk 7 Records has been around since 2004 and their bands have since received attention in media outlets like MTV2, BBC, Sky, The Guardian, feature films, and many more. They have also had performances at major festivals and conferences like NXNE, MIDEM, CMJ, T-Shirt Festival, and more. Set up by a team of industry professionals, the label started out at the end of an era when physical was dying and digital was being born. This Is Radio Freedom received great press from The Guardian. Sidewalk 7 also placed their music in The Long way Down, The Ace Cafe, Sky's A1 Grand Prix and the movie Pornstar. The band also appeared on MTV2, shot a video with Creighton Vero in California, had over 100,000 hits, and played alongside Primal Scream at the T-Shirt Festival in Valencia and Iggy Pop and Razorlight in Almeria. Winter Roberts received widespread critical acclaim, including a sold-out show at Ronnie Scotts, a full page feature in London's Evening Standard and regular plays on Steve Wright's show on BBC Radio 2. His live album recording sold out.
Billy Vincent went to Number One and Two in the HWV Folk Download Chart.
Al Catraz most recently was played on Adam Walton's BBC Radio Show and has since been asked to provide a 30 minute mix on the show.

The basic principle behind the label is to take talent, help with branding and direction and to follow with a digital release via our distributor Universal. This is accompanied by an online and press team who will work to the release gets the profile it deserves, which includes online reviews, press coverage, first plays on radio, and an overall boost to a band's profile.

Sidewalk 7 has always enjoyed access to a fantastic network of entertainment industry types. The label has good connections with producers, studios (both well known and hidden), video producers, radio pluggers, press, online, booking agents, major labels and indies, venues, music supervisors, well known bands, big brands, festival promoters etc. They are always on the lookout for a good deal.

Deals are a standard 50/50 indie deal. The exact terms of the deal depend on a few variables, including who is supplying the recordings. The deals are very transparent, and designed to develop long-term success for both parties.

They work with several radio formats: Top 40, Hot AC, AC, Alternative Specialty, College, AAA and Rock. Currently, these include satellite and internet stations in our campaigns. Slack's, a premier music venue and lesbian bar/restaurant in Toronto, Canada is actively seeking singer/songwriters and performance artists for for Thursday's newest event - ONSTAGE: Thursday Nights @ Slack's. There are 12 slots available each month, with 4-5 reserved for Sonicbids artists. Set lengths will be 40-60 minutes. A local draw is not necessary to be booked, but is preferable.

ONSTAGE will contact artists for booking at least one month prior to the date of the show. There is limited backline at the venue - a sound system, including vocal mics, guitar and bass amps, percussion and a sound person is available. This event is geared towards solo, duo and trio performances.

Selected artists will be compensated with a flat fee for a single set; usually $50-$100 with the possibility for an additional bar/food tab.

Genres accepted include: Folk, Acoustic, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Alt. Country & Soul. This is NOT an opportunity for cover bands or singers. Only original acts will be selected.
